AUCD (Association of University Centers on Disabilities), an association based in D.C. asked us in 2012 to develop their conference materials for their annual event. The theme for 2012 was Innovating Today. Shaping Tomorrow. The goal of the design was to highlight all the individual network members and how the collective group formed an intelligent network for influencing policy for individuals with disabilities. We developed the conference logo, the website imagery and the programs and awards booklets.
The Society of National Association Publications' annual conference's theme for 2007 was "Offset, Online, On Message… Association Publishing on the Cutting Edge." Our solution for the conference promotional material illustrated the theme by using an origami rose as the symbolic element that unites print and the web. Posters, mailers, and handouts were all tied to this theme's concept, making a complicated issue fun, visually-striking and easier to grasp.
Ballet Virginia International, an educational and performance non-profit in Hampton Roads, VA has been performing Nutcracker since their inception. We've helped them develop the identity, as well as all promotional elements to market their event. We produce banners, web pages, flyers, posters, bookmarks, and more to raise awareness of the event each year. The performance has become a very successful fundraising event for them.
The Simon Family JCC serves the recreational, cultural, and social needs of the Jewish community in Hampton Roads. They hired us to help create their Winter/Spring program guide for marketing purposes to potential new members and as a information resource for its current members. The guide accomplished the goals of making it easier to use, more attractive, and comfortably tie in to their established brand guidelines while remaining fresh and new.
The Slover Foundation needed help in putting together a fundraising piece to raise money for the new Slover Memorial Library. The goal was to fund the technology needed to make the new library as one of the most technologically advanced public libraries in the nation. We worked together in the development of this piece to mail to all the residents of Norfolk.
AUCD, the Association of University Centers on Disabilities, requested us to once again help them with the design of their annual report. For 2013, they continued to explore presenting the information as an infographic, much like they did in 2012. For 2013, they decided to make it primarily for print instead of for online presentation so the information in the design was set up to highlight the two sectors of AUCD: the network and the central office. We designed it so the information was presented in a unifying way but was separated by each individual page.
AUCD (Association of University Centers on Disabilities), an association based in D.C. asked us again in 2014 to develop their conference materials for their annual event. The theme for 2014 was AUCD Unleashed: the POWER of engagement. We developed the conference logo, the website imagery and the programs and awards booklets. The theme needed to convey excitement and energy. We developed the theme with a visual explosiveness that gives a very powerful connection to the message.
The YWCA South Hampton Roads requested our help in promoting a fundraising tailgate party at Old Dominion University. We helped them with the logo, banners, flyers, and tickets for the event.
The YWCA South Hampton Roads requested our help in developing a campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We developed this imagery to help men understand the importance of speaking up if they hear about cases of domestic violence.
Norfolk Sister Cities requested a logo/illustration for their fundraising event "PassPORT to Norfolk Sister Cities". The evening event presented food and culture from their 10 sister cities so they wanted a logo that illustrated this. We developed this logo/illustration for the event that gives a small glimpse of each of these cities while tying in the food focus.
